State Bank of India (SBI): 450 Marketing and Recovery (Rural), 31 Technical Officer (Farm Sector)

State Bank of India invites applications for positions of officers on contractual basis in the Marketing and Recovery (Rural) –S1 & Technical Officer (Farm Sector) – S1.

Compensation Package:

Rs. 2.80 lac p.a. on CTC (Bank) of which 70% will be fixed pay and 30% will be variable pay.

Job Profile:

Identifying and targeting Opportunity: Marketing and lead generation, identifying product needs.

Continuous business building: Continuous village visits and relationships with customers, build robust information database, support MRO to get high-value accounts & interact with the CPC for processing of the proposal sourced, serve as Relationship Manager to HNI customers.

Lending and recovery process: Pre-sanction survey, application filling, papers / documents verifications, parking of loan in nearest Branch (other than G.S.S.), recommendations to BM for loan sanction, loan monitoring, follow up & its recovery.

Responsibility: Overall achievement of business targets for entire Marketing and Recovery team

Eligibility Criteria for Officer Marketing and Recovery (Rural) S1:

i) As on July 31, 2009,the Candidate should be a Graduate in Agriculture, Veterinary, Fisheries, Dairy, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Pharmacy etc., from a recognized University with minimum 70% Marks (65% for SC, ST and PH candidates) or

(ii) Graduates in the following streams- BBA, Social Work, Social Welfare, Graduates with specialisation in marketing with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC, ST & PH Candidates) or

MBA with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC, ST & PH Candidates)

Age Limit: (as on April 01, 2009)

23 to 32 years

iii) Candidates must have fluency (read, write and speak) in the local language of the State where he is likely to be posted.

iv) Candidate should have a valid permanent driving license for 2 wheelers.

v) Minimum 3 years experience in a Scheduled Commercial Bank in the field of marketing of agricultural & other loans & recovery of NPA.

vi) Candidate should be willing to work in the rural areas for a contractual period of 2 years and should also be ready to join the job at a short notice. Work involves extensive travelling.

Post No. 2 Technical Officer (Farm Sector ) – S1:

No. of Posts: 31 posts (Gen: 16, SC: 5, ST: 2, OBC: 8)

Compensation package :

Rs. 3.50 lac p.a. on CTC (Bank), of which 70% will be fixed pay and 30% will be variable pay. Role: Marketing of SBI Agro-Products, pre-loan sanction, evaluation and recommendation, loan follow-up, monitoring and recovery.

• Surveying the area on ½ yearly basis to assess the potential of the activities in their area of specialization & giving leads to operating functionaries.

• Preparing area development schemes/ models schemes using techno-economic evaluation & processing high value proposals.

• Organize seminar / workshop for farmers for awareness of new technology.

• Guiding TOs (FS) & OMRs in technical & Marketing areas & co-ordinating the activities of TOs(Fs) in the circle.

Eligibility Criteria (as on July 31, 2009) Qualification / Post Qualification experience:

i) Post Graduate from a recognized Institute / University in the disciplines mentioned with minimum 70% marks (65% for SC, ST and PH candidate)

Age Limit: (as on April 01, 2009)

23 to 32 years

iii) Candidate must have fluency (read, write and speak) in the local language of the State where he is likely to be posted.

iv) Candidate should have Basic Computer Knowledge.

v) Minimum 3 years experience in a Scheduled Commercial Bank in the field of marketing & evaluation of high value proposals related to agricultural & allied agricultural activities, preparation & successful implementation of area specific schemes in Agricultural & allied activities etc.

vi) Candidate should be willing to work for a contractual period of 2 years and should also be ready to join the job at a short notice.

Selection Procedure:

Eligible candidates will be called for GD & Interview and final selection will be done on the basis of performance in GD & Interview. A merit list will be drawn in descending order matching the vacancies. Minimum marks in GD & Interview for zone of consideration would be 50% (45% for SC/ST/PWD).
